Pastor Steve Walton joined the Presbyterian Church in America in 1988 after the Lord brought him to an understanding of the Reformed faith. He holds degrees in music from the University of Houston and the Juilliard School. After almost six years of active duty in the US Army, Steve and his family moved to Asheville, North Carolina where he taught music and Bible for nine years at Asheville Christian Academy. In 2008, the Waltons moved to Greenville, South Carolina. Steve earned his Master of Divinity Degree from Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2012. He was then ordained by the PCA’s Southeast Alabama Presbytery as an evangelist and pastor for Ministry to the Military International. MMI sent him to plant a Presbyterian church in Stuttgart, Germany. The primary goal of the church is to minister to US service members and their families. Steve and his wife Hilary have been married for 24 years and have two sons, Samuel and Branch. Steve is also a chaplain in the US Army Reserve.
